Administrators using Business Prime can now set limits and approval workflows to better control how much their buyers can spend on specific product categories.

This feature complements the existing Buying policies for restricted items available on Business Prime – giving administrators even more control over how their teams are purchasing.

Once a policy has been set up, orders that contain products from these categories will be governed by the spend thresholds. At checkout, buyers will see a note indicating that their order doesn’t conform to the company's spend threshold for that category. Administrators can define approval workflows so that buyers whose orders exceeds the thresholds for a product category can seek approval from the right approver.

Aside from the US, this Buying policy with Approvals is also available to customers in Canada, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Japan.

If you’re an administrator on your organization’s Amazon Business account, get started by visiting the policies page, clicking on ‘add policy’, and then selecting ‘spending limits for product categories’ from the list of order policies. This does not apply to those subscribed to the Business Prime Duo plan.
