Fresno Unified School District, the third largest in California and the largest employer in Fresno County, is leading the way in real-world educational opportunities through innovative programs such as the Farber Logistics and Warehouse Management Program. Michael Niehoff, Executive Director of Alternative Education, shared that the program, located in a 10,000-square-foot warehouse, equips students for professional roles by involving them in practical tasks like product receiving and redistribution.

Superintendent Misty Her emphasized that the district's mission extends beyond academics, aiming to instill essential life skills and community impact. She acknowledged the significant role Amazon Business has played from the start in fostering smart business buying, supporting the program's success by offering insights, workshops, and guidance on the critical skills students need for 21st-century careers.

Ann Loorz, Executive Director of Purchasing, further noted, "Savings to our school sites and departments is a main priority of ours. In purchasing, we're constantly putting contracts against each other to make sure that we're getting the best pricing, and when there's a rebate at the end of that contract, it's a win-win because we're getting the best price, but also we're able to give whatever we receive in rebates back to the general fund for our district." The district even received a check for the past year, reflecting the smart business buying practices Fresno Unified School District has implemented with Amazon Business.
