New insights bring AI-powered recommendations into one centralized location

Three new ways to save, plus the launch of the Insights Hub, help Prime Business members turn purchasing data into savings they might otherwise miss

From purchasing history and price changes to quantity shifts and supplier availability, teams that buy for work are sitting on a wealth of data. But finding the savings inside? That's a challenge that usually requires manual report analysis.

Amazon Business Insights is changing that. Using AL/ML-powered models to turn everyday purchasing data into specific, ready-to-act recommendations that cut costs, improve internal compliance, and keep teams buying the right products in the right quantities at the right time. The result: teams capture savings they might otherwise miss, and those hours spent hunting through reports are allocated elsewhere.

Earlier in 2026, Amazon Business launched Subscribe & Save and Quantity Discounts insights, designed to recommend savings opportunities by changing their buying behavior. In the lead-up to Amazon Business Reshape, Amazon Business Insights is getting two additional updates: three new insights that build on those savings and compliance recommendations, and a redesigned Insights Hub that brings everything into one simple view.

“Procurement efficiency shouldn’t require a spreadsheet marathon," said Vikram Ramadoss, principal product manager. "We take a customer’s entire twelve-month spend history and, with the help of AI, turn it into a few simple, actionable recommendations. Customers can consolidate duplicate buying onto the preferred product, or switch to a lower-cost equivalent, all without changing what the team actually needs. One insight is delivered at the point of decision instead of a spreadsheet we know customers don't have the time to analyze.”

Three new insights for 2026

These three insights in the US join the savings insights Amazon Business introduced last year, broadening the recommendations put in front of procurement and finance teams. Each one reads the spend customers already run through Amazon Business and turns it into a clear, specific action.

Lower priced product

Lower-priced product looks at the items purchased in high volumes over the last 12 months, then finds similar or alternative products that cost less. It recommends those lower-cost options that can be added to cart, marked as preferred, or added to a list, steering each purchase toward the best value without changing what teams need.

Preferred product

Preferred product insights looks across a product category to find where an organization is buying items that serve a similar function under different titles, brands, or product lines. Starting from the products marked as preferred, it surfaces the similar products others in the organization are buying, so an administrator can mark those alternatives as preferred or restrict them. Consolidating this fragmented buying onto a preferred product ensures buying policies are being followed and unlocks the potential additional savings realized by quantity discounts that scattered purchasing leaves on the table.

Alternate product with sustainability features

Alternate product with sustainability features (to be launched by end of 2026) reviews the products teams have purchased over the last 12 months and compares them to alternatives that carry sustainability attributes, such as certified or climate-friendly options. Administrators can mark those alternatives as preferred, add one to a cart, or add it to a list. Some organizations have internal goals geared toward sustainability policies, and this insight drives that progress while allowing teams to continue buying what they need.

Every insight, now in one place: the Insights Hub

While these new insights give teams opportunities to save, consolidating them in one place makes it that much easier to act on those learnings. The new Insights Hub brings everything under one roof. This redesigned, centralized view within Amazon Business Analytics lets customers land on a single page and see high-level recommendations across purchasing trends, compliance, and goals, rather than hunting across separate reports.

From that one view, teams can scan one recommendation of each type at a glance, or expand any insight with a single click to see the specific products and the action behind it. As part of this change, Spend Anomaly Monitoring moves out of the Insights experience and into its own dedicated dashboard area, making it easier to access on its own. Learn more about Spend Anomaly Monitoring and its own enhancements in 2026 geared toward Prime Business members.
