What is this new registration initiative?

We're simplifying Amazon Business registration and user management by guiding customers with consumer accounts, pending invitations, or claimed domains and prompting them to join or request to join their organization’s business account.

This initiative streamlines the Amazon Business registration process by:

• Connecting Amazon.com consumer customers with their organization’s Amazon Business account.
• Detecting pending invitations or claimed domains during registration and guiding users to join their organization’s account.
• Prompting eligible users to join or request to join their organization’s business account.

What is the benefit to the customer?

We're making it easier for eligible members of your organization to securely join your Amazon Business account—supporting your organization’s internal and external procurement policies and procedures while helping you maintain purchasing visibility across your business and buyers. In addition, this initiative reduces the time account administrators spend manually following up as they onboard new teammates and users.

How does it work?

We're guiding users to join or request to join their organization's account across the following workflows:

• Pending invitations: Users with outstanding Amazon Business invitations are prompted to join their organization’s account instead of creating a new one.
• Claimed domains: Users with email domains matching claimed business domains are directed to request to join their organization’s Amazon Business account.
• Amazon.com navigation prompts: Eligible users will see prompts encouraging them to join or request to join their organization’s business account.
