An introduction to 3-Way Match

Checking if your purchases match what you ordered, received, and were billed for can take a lot of valuable time. This common accounting process, known as three-way matching, helps make sure you only pay for items that arrive in good condition and match your order.

Amazon Business makes this easier by automatically connecting your purchase order, invoice, and delivery confirmation with 3-Way Match. This helps shave time off the reconciliation process and prevent payment errors.

Want to check on orders while you're away from your desk? Use the Amazon Business mobile app to track deliveries and confirm receipts. Simply open the app and scan package barcodes when they arrive with your camera. This seamlessly brings together the PO, invoice, and reciept, right from your phone.

By automating this process, you'll spend less time on paperwork and more time on what matters to your business. Plus, with Amazon Business Analytics you can drill into the details to make smarter reporting decisions.

Navigate to the Receiving (3-Way Match) section of Business Settings today to get started.

How to get started with 3-Way Match

Sign in to your Amazon Business account and go to Business settings. Find "Billing & shipping", then select "Receiving" and choose your group. Go to Receiving Settings and select "Yes, track receiving" to let receivers mark items. Save your changes to start tracking received items.
Go to the Receiving page and find your order using the "Refine by" or "Date range" filters. Enter the received quantity for each item, or select "Mark everything received" to update all items at once. For complete deliveries, select "Mark everything received". For partial deliveries, mark each item as "Received" or "Items missing".
First, download the Amazon Business Mobile App. Select "Receiving" under "Manage Your Business". Allow camera access and scan the package barcode. Point your camera at the barcode on the shipping label to open the Receiving screen.
