Scan the barcode of your package upon arrival using the Amazon Business Mobile App and automatically complete a 3-Way Match—anywhere, anytime.

For any business, paying for an inaccurate invoice can be a big loss of time, money, and energy. With 3-Way Match, your accounts payable and procurement teams can protect your organization against paying for incorrect invoices, items not yet received, or fraudulent purchases while automating the process to save a significant amount of time. Now, you can use 3-Way Match within the Amazon Business Mobile App by scanning the barcode of your package upon arrival all from your phone.

Three-way match is a common accounting control to ensure that payments on purchases made on behalf of your business are received, accurate, and complete. A successful 3-way match includes uniting and verifying three documents before a payment is processed:

  • The purchase order
  • The invoice
  • The shipping receipt, packaging slip, or package barcode

 

While you can still complete a 3-Way Match by entering in the receiving status from your desktop, using the Amazon Business Mobile App allows you to quickly complete a 3-Way Match and prompt accounts payable to issue payment upon receiving your package and scanning the barcode.

Ready to use the Amazon Business Mobile App to complete a 3-Way Match?

If you have not already, download the free Amazon Business Mobile App and sign into you Amazon Business account.

  1. Sign in to your Amazon Business account and go to Business Settings.
  2. Under Manage Your Business select Receiving (3-Way Match).
  3. Select Scan code and allow camera access to scan your packages barcode.
  4. Point your camera at the barcode or data matrix code on the shipping label to get to the Receiving screen.
  5. If you have received all of your items in a delivery, select Mark everything received.
  6. If you have not received all of your items in a delivery, select Items missing or Received for each item.
  7. If an invalid barcode is scanned, you will be redirected to go back to the Receiving (three-way match) page to enter the code manually. Examples of an unsuccessful scan can include; damaged, unsupported, and no order associated with barcode, etc.

 

3-Way Match on the Amazon Business Mobile app is currently available to customers in the US.
