Infor, a leader in enterprise healthcare procurement technology, is now able to be integrated with Amazon Business.
Through this integration, we deliver a procurement solution that helps joint customers throughout their procurement journey, leveraging their existing systems and processes, while expanding selection.
Most e-procurement systems support a punchout. A punchout is a software integration that enables customers to access and shop in a supplier’s online catalog or store from within their organization's standard e-procurement system.
While the typical punchout integration process requires technical resources on both the supplier and buyer sides — a process that can take months — Amazon Business simplified this with an intuitive, self-service experience that can help customers save time. We’ve implemented logic in our systems that automates the generation of punchout credentials for over 90 e-procurement systems. Customers can configure, test, and go live, while maintaining established approval workflows, and reducing the number of suppliers they manage manually.
Amazon Business offers customers the best of both worlds — integrating into existing systems, while opening the door to hundreds of millions of products from hundreds of thousands of business sellers worldwide.
Infor CloudSuite Supply Management procurement punchout gives customers the ease and simplicity of Amazon Business, while leveraging processes and workflows of Infor CloudSuite Supply Management and the power and usability of the Requisition Self Service system. Available on October 3, this new software will provide Infor customers with access to the Amazon Business website. With the familiar Amazon interface, this solution can help offer easy access to up-to-date item information, improving accuracy, reducing errors, and ultimately increasing productivity.
“Infor is excited to be a part of the Amazon Business Partner Network. We’re always looking for new avenues to help our customers realize benefits quickly, and this was a perfect synergy for us,” said John Carrico, Sr. Director of Product Management at Infor. “Our customers are focused on maintaining budgets, efficiency, and bottom line results. With Amazon Business, there’s less focus on catalog maintenance, and customers can only purchase what has been agreed upon between the customer and Amazon Business, helping to reduce rogue spending occurrences.”
Within Infor procurement punchout, Amazon Business is represented by an icon on the Infor Requisition Center home page. When the customer clicks on the Amazon Business icon (this is "punching out"), Amazon Businesses’ catalog appears in a separate browser session. From this, Infor Requisition Center customers can choose items and return them to the Infor Requisition Center application. This gives Infor customers the freedom from maintaining large catalogs of suppliers that need to be self-maintained to stay current.
