Business Order Information Update: Group Level BOI

Business Order Information (BOI) is currently available only to direct website ordering AB customers. It is currently not enabled for Punchout customers.

• What is Business Order Information?
  Business Order Information (BOI) allows admins to define critical order information that can be collected from buyers during checkout, and used post purchase to fuel financial reconciliation, cost allocation and spend analysis efforts.
  Admins can setup order information through six pre-defined fields – Cost Center, Location Code, Department Code, Account Number, Project Code, and GL Code – and 13 additional custom fields of their own for buyers to populate when placing an order and associate that information with their business orders. Furthermore, customers can find this information on order, shipment, refunds and reconciliation reports from Amazon Business Analytics, invoices generated by Pay By Invoice, and Your Orders Summary for the purposes of accounting and financial reconciliation.

• What is Group Level BOI update?
  This update enables group level configurations for Business Order Information(BOI) fields. With this launch, administrators will be able to configure BOI at a group level, and define different BOI settings for each group. By default, group level configurations will align with the top level group’s BOI, but this can be edited and saved as a group specific configuration by subgroup admins. During checkout, buyers will be presented with the BOI specific to their group selection.

• How does it work?
  All customers can find Business Settings > Billing and Shipping > Business Order Information from the account drop-down menu on the navigation bar on the top right from the Amazon Business site. Subgroup admins will find a new link enabled on their Business Settings page under Billing and Shipping > Business Order Information that will take them to the group level BOI settings page.

• What are the customer benefits?
  This update will provide admins with greater flexibility and control in configuring BOI fields according to what is needed for each group, and enable accurate order information capture at Checkout based on their organizational/financial structures and policies.
