Checkout Defaults for Groups Launch

Administrators can now set up a checkout default for the payment and address.
Release Date: 15 December 2023
Last Updated: 15 December 2023

Currently, this feature is available for all direct-buy customers worldwide.

  • What is Checkout Defaults for Groups?
Administrators can access the checkout defaults settings from the Business Setting page to set up payment and address defaults for their groups. Once the admin has set defaults for a group, buyers that are part of this group will skip the defaulted steps during the checkout for the payments and address. If the buyer wants to change a default selection, they can click "Change" to edit the step in checkout. If the buyer sets or has set any individual defaults, their individual defaults will take priority over the Admin-set defaults.

  • How does it work?
    1. Go to Business Setting > Billing & shipping > Checkout defaults
    2. Select the desired group
    3. Select the payment method that members of the group use to place orders
    4. Select the shipping address that members of the group ship orders to

  • What are the customer benefits?
Before this launch, buyers had the ability to set individual checkout defaults for the payment and address. However, these could not be set at a group level by the admins. With this launch, administrators can drive a seamless checkout experience and gain more control over the buyer's experience, while buyers can save more time during the checkout process.

  • Where are we launching?
Currently, this feature is available for all direct-buy customers worldwide.
