  • What is Invoice at Delivery?
Invoice at Delivery is a change to the invoicing structure for Amazon Business Pay by Invoice customers, shifting issuance from shipment to delivery.
  • How does it work?
Previously, Pay by Invoice customers were issued invoices at shipment, which customer feedback indicated caused considerable overhead cost and frustration. Invoices will transition to issuance from delivery receipt, significantly increasing the accuracy of delviery-to-invoice matching, and increasing days to pay.
  • What is the benefit to the customer?
Issuing invoices after packages have been received is aimed at improving reconciliation and allowing for invoice action on customers' net terms on Day 1. Customers can expect faster reconciliation, more complete invoices, and reduced past-due based on improved days to pay.
  • What about undelivered items?
On occasion, packages will be delivered without a delivery shipment code provided, or may not be delivered at all. In these cases, Amazon Business has aligned on Invoice at Shipment + 7 days in the case of undelivered items. This means customers still may have cases of invoices for products not received, for which they will need to request a credit memo. Amazon Business is working to close this experience gap in 2025.
  • Where is this feature available?
Invoice at Delivery is available for Pay by Invoice customers in the United States.
