Device Resell, a subsidiary of AGiRepair specializing in mobile device repair, protection plans and device buyback, started its Amazon journey in late 2021 selling refurbished Apple devices on Amazon Renewed. Serving more than 10,000 schools and corporations nationwide, Device Resell saw an opportunity to expand its reach further by selling on Amazon Business. “Our wholesale partners and customers were already using Amazon Business,” says Jeremy Bilsky, Co-Owner, Vice President, and CSO of AGiRepair. “We needed to meet our existing customers where they were, while opening a new channel for additional customers.”
Sourcing custom requests
As soon as Device Resell joined Amazon Business, the team invested significant time and effort into optimizing their business to attract more business customers. As a minority-owned company, Device Resell added relevant certifications to surface their products to customers looking to support diverse businesses. During the holiday season, when they usually have an influx of selection, they added business discounts to increase sales. “We have seen tremendous growth in the short months of selling on Amazon Business, and we’re just getting started,” says Jeremy.
To date, the biggest driver of Device Resell’s early success on Amazon Business is the ability to create custom quotes for customers. Custom Quote is a program that connects highly engaged business customers with trusted sellers to negotiate pricing and quantity for bulk purchases. In April 2022, Device Resell received a special request from a customer that was looking to buy a laptop in bulk. While Device Resell did not have the exact device requested, they worked with their wholesale partners to quickly identify one with similar specs and build a custom quote. The customer accepted the quote, which resulted in a $220K sale, and Device Resell sourced the product within 3 days. “Even though we did not have the original product the customer wanted, the Custom Quote program allowed us to leverage our extensive sourcing capabilities to supply them with a similar product that fit their needs,” says Jeremy. “This unlocked a high-volume sale that would not have been possible if we had not been a part of the Custom Quote program.” By participating in the program, Device Resell also received the benefit of reduced referral fees, which allowed them to pass on savings to their customer.

Selling on Amazon Business has allowed Device Resell to expand their customer base and bulk opportunities, resulting in higher margins and larger volume deals. As a seasoned company that has been around for 22 years, Device Resell is eager to dive deeper with Amazon Business to unlock new opportunities and revenue streams. “Now that we have seen the potential of Amazon Business firsthand,” says Jeremy, “our goal is to continue to expand our inventory and sourcing capabilities to fulfill the demand from business customers on Amazon.”
