High Volume Purchases

Single-SKU orders greater than $10K or 999 units

Two ways to meet your bulk buying needs

Amazon Business customers can make non-quoted and quoted large quantity purchases.

  • Non-quoted high volume purchase

The Bulk Buying Tool (BBT) can help you meet your bulk buying needs by:

→ Consolidating inventory from multiple suppliers when a single supplier doesn’t have enough inventory

Example: Supplier A and Supplier B each have 500 keyboards of inventory. You want to purchase 800 keyboards, but neither supplier can fulfill your order. The BBT will consolidate inventory from both suppliers so you can purchase 800 keyboards in a single order.

→ Combining offers from multiple suppliers to find the lowest price - even if a single supplier has enough inventory to fulfill your order

Example: Supplier A has 1,000 keyboards available and Supplier B has 500. Supplier B’s per unit price is lower. You want to purchase 800 keyboards, but Supplier A’s price is higher and Supplier B doesn’t have enough inventory. The BBT will consolidate inventory so you can purchase 800 keyboards at the lowest per unit price (500 keyboards from Supplier B and 300 from Supplier A).

  • Quoted high volume purchase

Any single-product, one-time purchase > $10,000 or 999 units that requires custom pricing and/or additional inventory than listed on Amazon Business. A quote can be requested using our Request for Quote (RFQ) tool.

When buying in bulk, the RFQ tool can help when:

You need more inventory than what’s available on Amazon Business
You expect a better price or a bulk discount when buying in volume
You need specific B2B selection (pack sizes/pallets/product assortment)
